MenYew 1.0.1

A lightweight macOS menu-bar monitor for live system stats and AI usage — network, CPU, GPU, memory, and Claude / Codex consumption, all in the menu bar.

Download & install

1. Download **menyew-1.0.1.zip from the Assets** below.
2. Unzip it and drag **menyew.app into your Applications** folder.
3. Open it. MenYew lives in the menu bar (a Dock icon is shown on first launch so you can find it; you can hide it later in Settings → General).
• Signed with an Apple Developer ID and notarized by Apple, so it opens with no security warnings.

Requires macOS 13 (Ventura) or later. Apple silicon.

Automatic updates: from this version on, MenYew checks for updates on its own and can install them in the background — toggle it under Settings → General → Automatically check for updates. (Existing 1.0.0 installs don't have this, so 1.0.1 is a one-time manual download; future updates are automatic.)

What's new in 1.0.1

• Automatic updates via Sparkle, with an "Automatically check for updates" toggle and a manual "Check for Updates…" button.
• First-run discoverability — shows a Dock icon and opens Settings the first time, so the app is findable even when a menu-bar manager (Ice/Bartender) or the notch hides its items.
• Stable network readout — the network item no longer changes width (and shoves the rest of the menu bar around) as throughput values change.
• Name is now displayed as MenYew.
• Reliability fixes: network popover process cleanup, throttled top-apps sampling, cached log parsing, subprocess timeouts, and combined-item image caching.

• System: Network (per-interface graphs, WAN/LAN IPs, Tailscale, top apps), CPU (single/per-core/graph, P/E split), Memory, GPU, and a Combined item that packs several monitors tightly into one slot.
• AI usage: Claude and Codex — per-account session/weekly/credit meters and token totals.
• Appearance & settings: global colors/monochrome/interval with per-module overrides, optional labels, grouped settings window, and export/import of all settings.
