2026-06-08Superseded by 1.1. MenYew updates itself — you do not need this build.
A lightweight macOS menu-bar monitor for live system stats and AI usage — network, CPU, GPU, memory, and Claude / Codex consumption, all in the menu bar.
Download & install
- Download **
menyew-1.0.2.zipfrom the Assets** below. - Unzip it and drag **
menyew.appinto your Applications** folder. - Open it. MenYew lives in the menu bar (a Dock icon is shown on first launch so you can find it; you can hide it later in Settings → General).
- Signed with an Apple Developer ID and notarized by Apple, so it opens with no security warnings.
Requires macOS 13 (Ventura) or later. Universal — runs natively on both Apple silicon and Intel Macs.
Already on 1.0.1? You don't need this download — MenYew updates itself. Use Settings → General → Check for Updates…, or just wait for the automatic check.
What's new in 1.0.2
- Intel support — MenYew now ships as a universal binary and runs natively on Intel Macs as well as Apple silicon.
- More accurate GPU utilization — the GPU meter now uses time-residency (via IOReport) on Apple silicon, so it catches brief bursts the old instantaneous reading missed.
- Efficiency-core color — CPU per-core bars can show the efficiency cores in their own color, set in the Appearance section (falls back to the foreground/global color when unset).
- Settings polish for Claude / Codex accounts:
- The Config Folder field now has a proper in-box placeholder, fills the row, and lines up with the Choose… button.
- Choose… now shows hidden dot-folders, so you can pick
~/.claude/~/.codexdirectly. - The sign-in status and Re-sign in controls moved below the folder field.
- Removed a stray focus ring that could appear around a popover button on open.
Included modules
- System: Network (per-interface graphs, WAN/LAN IPs, Tailscale, top apps), CPU (single/per-core/graph, P/E split with per-color efficiency cores), Memory, GPU, and a Combined item that packs several monitors tightly into one slot.
- AI usage: Claude and Codex — per-account session/weekly/credit meters and token totals.
- Appearance & settings: global colors/monochrome/interval with per-module overrides, optional labels, grouped settings window, and export/import of all settings.
