MenYew 1.0.4

A lightweight macOS menu-bar monitor for live system stats and AI usage — network, CPU, GPU, memory, and Claude / Codex consumption, all in the menu bar.

Download & install

1. Download **menyew-1.0.4.zip from the Assets** below.
2. Unzip it and drag **menyew.app into your Applications** folder.
3. Open it. MenYew lives in the menu bar (a Dock icon is shown on first launch so you can find it; you can hide it later in Settings → General).
• Signed with an Apple Developer ID and notarized by Apple, so it opens with no security warnings.

Requires macOS 13 (Ventura) or later. Universal — runs natively on both Apple silicon and Intel Macs.

Auto-update note: keeping MenYew in your Applications folder lets it update itself. If it's run from somewhere it can't replace itself, this version now tells you instead of failing silently.

What's new in 1.0.4

• Quit MenYew button at the bottom of Settings → General.
• More reliable updates. If MenYew can't replace itself (run from a quarantined copy, or from outside the Applications folder), Settings → General now shows a clear warning with a fix instead of letting the update fail silently. Update prompts and error messages are also brought to the front — as a menu-bar app they could otherwise open hidden behind other windows.

Included modules

• System: Network (per-interface graphs, WAN/LAN IPs, Tailscale, top apps), CPU (single/per-core/graph, P/E split with per-color efficiency cores), Memory, GPU, and a Combined item that packs several monitors tightly into one slot.
• AI usage: Claude and Codex — per-account session/weekly/credit meters and token totals.
• Appearance & settings: global colors/monochrome/interval with per-module overrides, optional labels, grouped settings window, and export/import of all settings.
